\u00a0Sterling comes to us from Sliding S Aussies in Caldwell Idaho. He is a full younger brother to 2016 ASCA Supreme Champion Stockdog \u201cOakley\u201d SDCH SLIDING S LAND\u2019S END SURE SHOT. Sterling has always displayed a natural circle, and impeccable sense of group and balance on stock. He treats his sheep kindly and rates them well. On ducks he has a very natural sense of rate, and keeps even difficult ducks and geese grouped together. Sterling works cattle calmly and with authority. He has a lot of power on both heads and heels, and grips both ends appropriately. He has worked in a variety of situations, including working heifers, bulls, and cow\/calf pairs in fenced fields, pens, and unfenced areas up to 15km\u2019s during cattle drives. He is a very quiet worker and does not bark when working, but will snarl at cows if they challenge him. Sterling\u2019s focus and desire to please also carries into other areas, and he is a multiple High in Trial winning Rally and Obedience dog.<\/p>\n

Sterling’s pups have a keen eye and are displaying his natural sense of balance and group on stock. Many of his kids are excelling in agility, as well as rally and obedience.<\/p>\n

At the tender age of 11.5 he is now retired from competing, but he greatly enjoys giving herding lessons to my new students!<\/p>\n
